Who is it for?
If you’re looking for a very stable, all around inflatable paddle board that is below $1,000 the SIC Maui TaoSurf is an excellent option. This standup paddleboard (SUP) comes in SIC Maui’s Support Stringer Tech (SST) construction which gives the board added durability. Weighing just over 22.5 pounds, the SIC Tao Surf is easy to carry and is great for paddlers of all ages and skill levels who want to have a board that is stable and easy to manage. The Tao Surf is best used for recreational paddling and for short distances around the beach and dock but as the name suggests, it is capable of handling small waves if you’re looking to surf. At $649.95, the Tao Surf is an incredibly affordable but quality board that comes with a complete package (board, paddle, leash, fin) and has everything you need to get on the water and have some fun.
First Impressions
Short and simple: be on the lookout for this board. It's got everything you want in an all around paddle board. It has the reinforced stringer in the center, reinforced rails, a very good price point, very stable, a classic and minimal graphic design and a paddle comes included in the package. The board is very easy to carry and comes in a nice package. The bag doesn't have wheels unfortunately but is still relatively easy to carry around on your back. This is a board that will likely last you a long time and if you want to look the part on the water with a brand that is on the more premium side of things then check this out.
