Paddle Board Highlights

Who is it for?

If you’re looking for a premium race-specific paddle board, check out the Jackpot from Rogue. This non-inflatable paddle board is best for the expert paddlers who can handle the instability that comes with the narrow width. Weighing in at just over 27lbs, the Jackpot is at an average weight for a similar board of it’s size and doesn’t offer much difficulty when carrying it. This board is a great option for someone looking for that flatwater raceboard that can also work in bumps and a bit rougher conditions if need be.

First Impressions

The Jackpot by Rogue is another fast board from Rogue and glides really well. It does lean more towards being a flatwater board but can also handle a lot of bump. This board’s main focus is speed so it’s great for racers and the standing well is very comfortable. The Jackpot was a really fun board to paddle and get some speed on and definitely deserves a look if this is what you’re shooting for.

Benefits

    Race

Paddle Boards fall into two broad categories, All-Around and Specialty boards, with all-around designed primarily for recreation while speciality boards for top performance in specific disciplines

  • Durability

    Durable

Durability is largely a result of the board construction and shape, with more durable boards typically carrying more materials (added layers, PVC, etc) and as such adding to the weight.

  • Carrying

    Easy

Carrying ease is determined by board weight and handle type, where a board weighing under 20lbs with a Liftsup handle is extremely easy to carry while a 35+lbs board quite difficult.

  • Stability

    Very Unstable

Stability is a product of construction and shape, where boards w/ 30”+ wide and 200+ liters in volume offer plenty of stability for your AVG adult while a board under 26” wide is a challenge.

  • Glide

    Very Fast

Glide is a result of board shape and construction, w/ boards weighing under 30lbs and designed for racing offering best glide while recreational boards normally being on the slow side.
